The first 100,000 tree seedlings from investor trees are under development in Kenya

Published: 10th October 2006

It is hard work at the tree nursery in Kenya this month, as we are developing tree seedlings for 100,000 trees to be planted out in November and December this year. These trees are the first planting at our site at Kiambere Lake in Kenya. After these trees have been planted, we will continue developing seedlings at this and other tree nurseries in the same area.

The earth preparation is going on and the fertilizer is mixed into the earth

Now, only the watering is left and the
seedlings will grow well

The seed are sown in the bags and will grow for some time before they are planted out

Better Globe’s new farm for testing and training in Kenya

Published: 10th October 2006

Better Globe Forestry Ltd. has now taken over a test farm in Kenya where many different trees are being tested and a lot of vegetables are growing. It is important for us that we are able to see what kind of trees are the best in the dry areas where we are going to plant trees and to find out how they work, both with drip irrigation and with different fertilizers.
